The issue brought up in class today rose a good point about the presence of blogs in the modern workforce. I can now see why people must be very careful when it comes to posting personal data on the Internet. This assignment for example brought up a good point about how long a blog can stay active. While trying to create a new blog for this assignment, I stumbled across my old blog from 2007. What ever job I decide to apply for will have access to this data, and can use whatever it is against me. This brings up the importance of keeping blogs as private as possible. I should only give access to those few people that I trust, and have a requirement for prior approval before being granted access to my blog.
Ten years from now I could be at a job and a blog I write about today could come back and haunt me.
